How to make a listing fields default value the same as a user field?

I want to assign the zip code field on the listing fieldsets the value of the zip code field in the user fieldset. In the listing fieldset, I set ##uf_zip## as the default value for the zip code field hoping to pull the value from the zip code field in the user's fieldset. Is there a way to do this?
