error after move to new server session_db.php line 56

Hi,
After moving the site to a new server (done via cpanel ), no one is able to login.  I searched the forums but couldn't find any info.

This is the error that appears:

Fatal error: Call to a member function query() on a non-object in /home/class/public_html/esvon/inc/session_db.php on line 56

Could it be that just the sessions need to be cleared? What table would that be?

Any other sugggestions would be appreciated!

Hi,

You could try playing around with the following settings in application setup > advanced setup:

- Store user sessions data in database ?

- Session IP Validation Level (max. value corresponds to strict IP based validation)

I can't log in as admin either.  Anyway around this?

If I emptied ec3_session, would that do any harm?

Emptying the session table is ok for trouble-shooting purposes - if you do it while the site is live you'll end up bumping the users off if they are logged on.

I'm wondering your issue is the same as the one described here: http://www.ecusb.com/index.php/topic,911.0.html - that ended up with Esvon/Vladimir changing a couple of files (the post at the bottom of the thread has the details).

The cannot login after site move scenario has been reported a few times on this board, I guess your best bet would be to contact Esvon for assistance.
