You can add to Setting Permissions the info that there is a tool called perms_setup.php on the esvon server that sets all Permissions via ftp. ok, most of the time it does not work and says "can not connect to the server", but its a nice idea. Also nobody knows why it is not added to the automatic setup, but maybe in future versions.  Maybe I should add that to the wish list! 

Thanks, I wasn't sure whether to put the permissions program as I hadn't tried it out + was suspicious whether it would work - usually I can't get the upgrade programs to work so I doubt that one would work on my server either.

Something else that Jay suggested is to add a system for people to provide comments/ammendments etc. ETA for that is sometime in July as I'm very busy from 11th June onwards.

you are welcome! And, yes, the perms_setup.php does work, I saw it in action one or two times on my server, and it looks quite impressive when all perms are set up in a second. :-)

So, I try to use it at every new installation. But I really think it should be added to the normal setup routine, because there it could grab the path info from the setup for example.
