Esvon Classifieds

Unofficial Manual

Overview

This manual is aimed at administrators, developers and users of Esvon Classifieds software.

This manual is subdivided into several main sections to assist you in navigating and finding the information that you are looking for quickly. If you are new to Esvon Classified follow the information sequentially, although the structure of the manual is such that you should be able to consult any section separately as needs arise.

Note that during the course of the text I refer to the software as “Esvon Classifieds”, “EC” or “Classifieds” interchangeably to fit in the flow of the text and avoid repetitions.

The manual is updated frequently and information concerning new software updates are added shortly after release. The version number and date at the top of this page will change accordingly.

The changes made by each update are documented here.

If you find any discrepancies within this manual, please send an email to projects@ecusb.net with a description of the problem. Any comments and suggestions you may have are also welcome.

Before you get started, please remember that there is a place to obtain help from fellow EC users at www.ecusb.net if you run into any problems.

The manual assumes you have version 3.0.000 or above installed

Some of the text, notably in the glossary, is taken with permission from en.wikipedia.org.The symbol refers to a principle is known as copyleft. That is to say, Wikipedia content can be copied, modified, and redistributed so long as the new version grants the same freedoms to others and acknowledges the authors of the Wikipedia article used (a direct link back to the article satisfies our author credit requirement). Wikipedia articles therefore will remain free forever and can be used by anybody subject to certain restrictions, most of which serve to ensure that freedom.
